Known for delivering projects of distinction, on time and on budget, our Ceilings & Partitioning Projects division, has contributed to some of the country’s most iconic developments – from the V&A Waterfront shopping centre and the Cape Town International Convention Centre, to the Cape Town International Airport Terminals, Crystal Towers Hotel in Century City, the Grain Silo at the V&A, and more recently, the Sky Hotel and Radisson Blu.

While this transition brought challenges, it also created an opportunity – to refresh our leadership team, introduce new talent, and rebuild the business with renewed energy, determination and purpose.
Introducing the People Behind the Business
At the heart of this new chapter is a committed leadership team:
- Jody Daniel – Commercial Manager Jody is a quantity surveyor who uses data-driven insights to scope, cost and deliver projects accurately and effectively without compromising on excellence. His commercial acumen ensures solutions meet specifications while staying within budget.
- Zubeir Fisher – Operations Director Zubeir focuses on operational excellence and oversees the execution of projects. His passion for excellence and leadership, ensures that work is delivered efficiently and safely and that teams are motivated to deliver to Scheltema’s exacting quality standards.
- Wouter Viljoen – Managing Director, Scheltema & Co. Wouter has deep technical and commercial expertise. He was recently appointed President of the Master Builders Association Western Cape, underscoring his leadership within the construction sector and his commitment to raising standards across the industry.

Scheltema’s Ceilings & Partitioning business delivers expert supply and installation of all nationally available systems – and sources unique international products when needed. With decades of experience, we guide clients from design through completion, advising on insulation, acoustics, fire rating and green materials.
Our work spans new builds, refurbishments, and reconfigurations – often completed without disrupting operations – across commercial, retail, healthcare, and educational sectors. Notable projects include Pick n Pay, Woolworths, Shoprite, Food Lovers Market, Checkers and Bayside Mall, Groote Schuur Hospital, Stellenbosch University, Tygerberg Hospital, and the Heart 104.9 FM studios.
