Scheltema and the CTICC

The Convention Towers, adjacent to the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), provided the ideal platform for Roofing, Ceilings and Partitioning specialists Scheltema to test drive the revolutionary new Everite partitioning system. New to South Africa, this innovative product is made of 9mm Nutec ® Fibre cement board facing, with a light weight concrete core. Previously used only in low rise housing schemes, Scheltema were the first to pioneer it’s usage in a commercial high rise scheme.

“The system allows for a lightweight wall system, meeting the professional team’s exacting standards in terms of aesthetic, sound and fire criteria, and environmental considerations” said Mark Holgate, Director of Ceilings and Partitions at Scheltema.

“Scheltema is an acknowledged market leader, respected for its track record, pioneering spirit, and quality craftsmanship. In this case, our willingness to partner with Everite ultimately persuaded chief contractor Group 5 to award us the R5.3m partition and ceiling contract” he said.
